These specialty bras can be expensive when you add up everything you already have to purchase while pregnant.

Before you start pumping, we recommend finding the perfect size breast pump flange. A breast pump flange is a plastic cover piece that fits over your nipple to form a seal around the areola. It creates a vacuum seal that gently extends your nipple into the flange tube for capturing milk. (It's a device that acts like a baby breastfeeding.)
Unfortunately, my nipple size wasn't the universal 24mm, so I had to purchase a smaller one. For most mothers, nipples sizes are different, so we recommend meeting with a lactation consultant or viewing this flange size chart. Aeroflow Breastpumps
If your milk supply is lowering, or if you have soreness and clogged ducts, a lactation consultant can help immensely.
So now, how do you change the nursing bralette to be hands-free?
Below is a step-by-step hack so you can save on buying another bra when you start pumping. Then, when your hands are free while pumping, you can multitask like a pro!
Hands-Free Pumping Bra Hack:
Step 1:
Loosen shoulder strap to provide flexibility in the expansion of the bralette. Unclip your breastfeeding/nursing bralette.
Step 2:
Bring the strap across your breast on the inside.
Step 3:
Place a flange or hand pump on the breast in the correct area. The inside strap goes over the top of the pump to support the flange and keep it in place.
Step 4:
Pull up the clip strap of the bralette and attach it around the pump and back onto the clip. The two sides will sandwich together to keep the flange secure.
And now you're hands-free......voila!
